Cheap yet one of the world’s super foods is sweet potato leaves that are packed with Vitamin A (good for skin care), micro nutrients and fiber.

  • Leaves are more nutritious than the tuber itself which contains more iron, vitamin C, folates, vitamin K and potassium.

How to make juice from sweet potato leaves

  • Wash thoroughly the leaves
  • Use 1-2cups of water to boil the leaves
  • Boil it for 5-7mins. only
  • Set aside leaves (use it as salad dish)
  • Add some water to the boiled juice (optional)
  • Add lemon or calamansi  (citrus native in Asia)
  •  Put honey, brown sugar or agave nectar to sweeten

  • Use any blender which can turn the leaves into pulp.
  • If you use only leaves, it will turn into smoothie and not too hard to drink
  • Filter the blended pulp (to take way the excess fiber which may not feel good in your throat when drinking)
  • Add lemon or calamansi (citrus native in Asia)
  • To sweeten, add brown sugar or honey
