Today’s Wisdom: “The louder your voice, the noisy your mind”

Written and Posted By: Margie Babon

mind-fulEver notice people that when they talk loud, they talk so fast, they talk with so much pressure that cause stress to others? That is because their mind is restless occupying dozens of thoughts inside their head. Because the movement of their energy is fast, the emotions they are showing is heavy and has pressure which is usually in the form of anger.

Try to observe people that speak soft, gently, and in pleasing manner that you will notice there is calmness and stillness in their mind. The movement of their energy has serenity and has quietness which reflects the emotions of happiness and bliss. No stress, no heaviness and no negative energy to catch with.

In day to day living, we cannot avoid to encounter people who have suppressed anger that talks so loud and so fast. Even us, we also get to that point that we get angry and reactive especially when others are pushing our buttons. Though it is difficult, as much as possible, we must learn to practice the art of allowing and never negative things affect us. The more we carry unnecessary thoughts, the more we become heavy and in effect we tend to spill out that negative energy in bad ways. How we talk and the pitch of our voice is our own signal that we are stressed, happy or sad. If the way we talk has anger that can hurt others, it only means there is something to fix in our life, it means we are not happy. And not just because we are not happy with our own self, we have the right to yell or treat others badly. It is not proper to throw anger to others. It only creates more unhappiness to us.

We need to learn to meditate and shut down those noises in order to calm our voices and mind. The more we practice and immerse to silence each day, the more we become aware of how we speak,  that we want to talk to others in happy, in loving, and understanding manner.

Always remember that how you speak is the expression of your inner spirit.

“You don’t have to be noisy to be effective.” –Phil Crosby

Today’s Wisdom: “Lay New Foundation”

Written and Posted By: Margie Babon

New Ground copy

We get to the point in life that we need to lay new foundation in order to move forward in a much better way. To revive our goals and dreams by starting new ground that is more solid will energize us. This new foundation becomes our inspiration for us not to give up and help us to be brave enough to achieve what we want. We cannot avoid being dismayed that we can’t get what we want; heck it teaches us to lay down new foundation on goals that are truly realistic. The main reason of having anxiety in getting things done and achieving dream is that we over planning the impossible. Do small things consistently, daily and having the attitude of perseverance will nurture new beginnings to make things happen leading to results that we truly want.

“A successful man is one who can lay firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.” -David Brinkley

Today’s Wisdom: “Be Like Water”

Written and Posted By: Margie Babon

Water-final

Earth is covered by 70% of water. Human body is composed of 60% of water. Earth and human body both act as a tank to hold water, in which water is being molded according to the shape of the holder. Soft to touch, silent, calm, mysterious yet strong— these characteristics of water can be found in human character being formed through discipline, humility, patience, resilience, and tolerance that builds a strong character in the inside. Written below are admiring characteristics of water that we can apply in our life.

  • Flexible. Like water, to let it fit and flow in every passageway it passes through it must be flexible. Like human being, to fit in the environment, it must know how to adjust and accept everything that life offers.
  • Soft. Water is soft to touch like human heart that even how tough external forces are; there is still softness that gives empathy and kindness. In water, that softness sustains life.
  • Silent. The silence of water is a symbol of great strength and humility.  Even how many times people destroying the bodies of water, water stays calm and serene. This teaches us to stay still no matter how bad life could be.
  • Patient. Bodies of water are affected by the different season. During the time of winter where some parts of the bodies of water become frozen. For more than a month it patiently waits for the new season to come where it will go back to its natural state of being water–soft to touch and with strength.
  • Mysterious. Be like water that has exciting wonder and has a lot of curiosity that must be known. Be a beautiful mystery that is lovely upon discovery and more surprises that are unknown. Mystery makes life exciting. Mystery invites us to take courage and swim the deepest attitude of who we are and face it.
  • Humble. However difficult the environment where water is, water stays humble containing endless molecules of tolerance. No complaining only surrendering.
  • Powerful and Strong. Silence is power” and the concrete proof of this saying is the ocean. Once it releases its all energy and might, no one can withstand it. It has the capability to dissolve almost everything. With its power, it still holds the eternal beauty that no one can destroy.

All these attributes are what makes the water breathing and alive. Like how we must live and face each day, each trial, each struggle, our innermost character must be totally strong like water. We must not give up but patiently wait for the sunshine to come in order to illuminate to others our crystal clear intention of understanding, kindness, and love.

We  must be like water—“Flexible, Soft, Silent, Patient, Humble, Mysterious yet Powerful and Strong.”

“The tides are in our veins.”-Robinson Jeffers

A lake is the landscape’s most beautiful and expressive feature. It is the earth’s eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature. –Henry David Thoreau

“Nothing in the world is more flexible and yielding than water. Yet when it attacks the firm and strong, none can withstand it, because they have no way to change it. So the flexible overcome the adamant, the yielding overcome the forceful. Everyone knows this, but none can do it.” -Lao Tzu

Today’s Wisdom: “Whatever life may bring, always choose happiness”

Written and Posted By: Margie Babon

Happy copy

Happiness is the main reason why we keep on pursuing to survive. We work in order to earn money to buy food, to buy clothes, to afford travel and pleasure simply because we want to be happy. We send our kids to school, to give them education for them to have a good future because it will make us happy. We give attention and our time to friends, to families simply because we want to be happy. All things in life we keep on doing because we want to be happy.

Each individual has their own definition of happiness. Each has their own way to find it. Yes, there are a lot of problems and heaviness in life but those are challenges that once we overcome it will lead us to greater happiness.  And no matter how simple or extravagant we demand in finding happiness, never let anyone stop you in getting that. Yet, make sure that the happiness you want is practical and achievable. If not, you are only creating delusion that will make you unhappy.

Through appreciation we see happiness around us even in simple things. Truly, even if we indulge in material things, we cannot buy happiness for it is seated deep within our soul and spirit. True happiness is not in tangible things but in self-growth, generosity and contentment.

Never waste a day, never waste any moment in life that whatever life may bring, always choose happiness instead of carrying heaviness of sadness.

“It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.”-Charles Spurgeon

“If you want to be happy, be.” _Leo Tolstoy

Today’s Wisdom: “Past is Illusory”

Written and Posed by: Margie Babon

past is illusion copy

Past is already past. Why giving life to it when it no longer exists in reality?  There is much more important to think of than your mistakes, hurt, pain, and failure from your past. We tend not to enjoy the present moment which is the “reality” if we keep on thriving on it. Past is already illusion that is no longer real. Nothing is wrong to visit your past if you want to see the inspiration from it which is about happiness and love . But then whatever past events are whether in negative or positive ways it is always the lessons that we must carry.

There is always a choice if we want our past memorable by enjoying the present moment, by making “today” a meaningful one, a meaningful life. If we make right choices on how we face the day being responsible with it, on how we react to people around us, on how we become conscious of how we think, we act and are mindful of words we say, truly we create a kind of “past” as loving and peaceful.

Never waste your time and energy on thinking about yesterday, a week ago, a month ago, a year ago even a decade ago. Even how many times you keep thinking about it will not change the past and it will never change the situation. Focus on the present moment and be inspired on the future life that you wanted to be. Never missed a laughter, a smile, beauty of flowers, wonderful sunshine, innocence of kids and baby, the soft and loving energy of your dogs and cats, the twinkling stars, the beautiful moon, the warm hug and kiss of your mother, all these are around you of you only stay in the present moment.

Part of our responsibility as human being is to live to the fullest by enjoying each moment.  Say goodbye to your past and stop being a slave of it. You deserve happiness and make it as a wise choice starting today.

“Every day is a new day, and you’ll never be able to find happiness if you don’t  move on.”-Carrie Underwood

“If you love yourself, you must be yourself. Be the best that you can be. When you make a mistake, learn from it, pick yourself up and move on.”-Dave Pelzer

Today’s Wisdom: Make Life Colorful Even After the Rain

Written and Posted By: Margie Babon

HK-Wisdom_20April2016

Who says life is easy? All of us are facing trial, hardship and challenges that keep on molding our character and change our behavior and attitude over time. There are days that we want to give up or disappear when life is hurting us so much but then life must go on and it is such a foolishness to stay on misery. That is why there is the other side of life called “happiness” that despite of hardship, we can choose to put new colors to still see the beauty in life by appreciating the blessings around us, by looking at nature and its beauty deep and still be grateful for everything we have whether thing, family, friends or experiences.

Unload heavy burdens and choose to enjoy life today. Laugh, spend time with your loved ones, put attention to your artistic hobby, go out and be with nature, meet old friends, play with your pet, spend time at your garden, etc. We are here to share our time, to share who we are and what we are  and what we have and that is what we call “selfless kindness.” By sharing we put colors to our own life, to others and to the world. Put colors in every situation and that color is like a photograph that will last as memories… memories of happiness and bliss.
